First time I've been there for a long time. I used to go Thursday and Friday nights. My friends and I stopped going when we had to queue to get in. Lately we've going down stairs as it's easier to get a seat at weekends. Lounge upstairs has changed dramatically since the 1970's. It was quiet on Thursday night although it was getting busier as we were leaving at 7pm to go elsewhere for a meal. Prefer upstairs in early evening when it's quieter.
Dog friendly and people friendly, great selection of beers, gins are served in lovely big fishbowl glasses with fruit. Real fires and real characters make this a great wee local pub.
Excellent friendly staff..I was recently at a wedding here, absolutely fantastic wedding venue..& the meal in my opinion was cooked to a very high standard, chicken stuffed with haggis, I didn't take any food pics.. because I was far to busy enjoying the meal.. we had 130 guests.. everyone was raving about the wedding venue. Highly recommend...
Great local village pub.. traditional old style.. good staff and a nice touch of good customer service with jugs of fresh water and bottles of lemonade on bar free as mixer..
Such a welcoming environment for man and beast! The beer is good, the staff are great, and the Sunday night folk music is excellent. The fact my dog is more welcome than me is an added bonus! He is much more handsome than me tho!
