We went to purchase a bike for my girlfriend and at first we were impressed with the range of bikes that Robert had available. He was friendly and seemed knowledgeable with the sizing and picking out one that matched what we were looking for so we trusted him to pick the bike for us.Upon selecting a bike we noticed that the front brake was rubbing so asked to have it adjusted, Robert adjusted it right then and there. We took it for a test ride and it was working but wasn't as strong as it should be - Robert assured us it would bed in and be fine after some use. As we needed a bike for an upcoming trip we decided to take it. We paid 200+ for this bike plus a water bottle holderWe took the bike for a wee ride to the shops to test it out before a longer ride and the front brake all but stopped working as the cable stretched or some other part stopped functioning properly. The back brake was still functioning as well as it had before so we figured it would be ok for our longer ride. When we were out for the days cycle the weather was rather wet and there were some steep downhills - the back brake then stopped working nearly altogether meaning we had to walk down all the hills (the most fun part!).I was planning on taking it back to the shop the following week but was curious if it was just the bike model that had brake problems - turns out the new and improved model with Disk brakes is available for 145... The model we had been sold was only worth around 60...I took it back to the shop last week and was a bit annoyed to be told that there is a no returns policy on the pre-owned bikes, however Robert assured me that he would be able to fix the brakes and let me know when it was ready for collection.I went to collect the bike today and Robert was there with the bike ready - took it a test ride down the street and the brakes were even worse! They worked now but made a crazy noise and juddered the whole bike, plus they rubbed when the brakes werent even applied. As I was cycling back Robert was already closing up the shop and putting the padlocks back on the door. I told him the brakes are now stuck on and juddering like crazy - his reply was "It was ok on the stand."We did a further 3 test rides with him tinkering a little with the brakes between. They work somewhat now but are still nowhere near a proper service or properly functioning brakesWe are now stuck with a way overpriced bike that has no proper stopping power and we are going to have to pay to get someone who actually knows what they are doing to fix it....Thanks for ripping us off and taking advantage of our trust.

Simply awful. I wondered originally if the company had shut down as the doors were always closed and wouldnt answer calls. Eventually got them when the responsed to a text I sent to say they would open the next day.Ive never owned a bike in my adult life so relied on good honest advice from the company owner who was quite pushy to say the least. I felt the bike was small but he insisted that the seat could be put up to adjust as you cant try the bikes out in the shop. He crammed my bike in to the boot of my car to get me to take it home. (Stupidly I agreed after feeling a litte under pressure) when I got the bike home it was too small and the breaks didnt work. I contacted him immediately but there was no answer for days so I eventually text and got a reply. I had asked to return the bike and told them about the breaks but contact stopped as soon as asked for a solution. After calling for 5 months I eventually got the gentleman on the phone and hes was extremely rude. He said I would need to pay to have the bike collected before it could be repaired. I told them I didnt think tha was good enough considering I waited several months for a solution. He said he hasnt got time for that texting nonsense even though he had text himself before the sale of the bike. I explained text was a last resort to ignored phone calls and closed shop doors.Ive been left with a broken bike that I cant use that on closer research was probably worth 60 but charged me almost 300.Theres no simpler way to put this gentleman other than a crook. Just a horrible experience.

Visited Halfords for a Brake pad change and service ... quoted a week. Instantly found Pedal Zone... they were busy but keen to help . 24hours later a fully serviced bike and me offering a bottle of bubble to the manager for a job well done. THE place to go .

I contacted Robert to get my new bike set up properly. He was very helpful and friendly and set up the gears and brakes properly. He gave great advice about general maintenance as well. It's great to know that there is somewhere on my doorstep to go to with any cycle issues!

Not for me, really expensive . 120 for a service, asked for head set renewal never happened was told would have been a extra 80 on top of 120 payed for sevice ( part is only 20). Asked him to call through week with prices, no call. Will definitely be looking for another LBS gutted other one in East Kilbride closed.
